The Conscious Design Magazine reaches people who are interested in living life at its highest potential. We are passionate about sharing what we know about how our homes and buildings impact us.

We will bring you information on Conscious Design®, the integrated concept that redefines the way we look at our spaces. It integrates ancient concepts such as feng shui with cutting edge research in green design and baubiologie to create spaces that are not only beautiful, but also healing and empowering.

Diantha’s take: If you have an interest in green design, feng shui or living consciously, do yourself a favor and go to this site to get a free subscription to The Conscious Design Magazine. Each month’s e-issue comes packed with great articles and links. You will love this online magazine.

Diantha’s take: This site has so much to offer, not the least of which is a great resource of practitioners and teachers who cover the gamut of subjects under the heading of self-improvement. The site offers extensive reading material: articles, newsletters and information about the experts who belong to selfgrowth.com (Diantha included!). www.color4power.com
Devoted to personal and spiritual empowerment and healing through the power of color and light. Books, e-books, CDs, seminars.

Diantha’s take: This site is amazing, as is the woman behind it, Phillipa Merivale. Pippa, as she is affectionately known, was one of my first teachers of color. She is a mentor as well as a dear friend. Her insights, books, and readings are true treats — just waiting for you.

www.art-of-creations.com
This site presents artist, author, empathic teacher Sandy Nelson’s tips and reflections on creative living. Discover inspirational artwork, writing, photos, workshops, teleconferences, and creativity coaching.

Diantha’s take: I first met Sandy when she was my student and we quickly became friends and cohorts! Sandy is one of those people who can create something from nothing. She taught me how to make a doll out of paper toweling! I’ve had some of my greatest creative moments with Sandy so I encourage you to connect with her incredible energy and check out her website where you will discover the results of her connection to the muse!

Diantha’s take: I discovered John Chuchman through his books of poetry, which my husband and I read one summer. John’s website is full of support, humor, and understanding as he addresses the very real challenge of grief and loss. His calming manner, words of wisdom, workshops, and poetry will make you feel at peace and soothed even while grappling with loss. I urge you to visit this site any time you feel a loss, or at a loss. John can help take you to where you want to go.

www.windwater.com
The Feng Shui Institute of America is a feng shui school for professional certification and beyond, offering teleseminars, conferences, retreats and classes for continuing education and personal development. We offer a contemporary science feng shui curriculum and have a highly credentialed faculty disciplined in various fields of social and earth sciences and feng shui science, interior design and feng shui, architecture and feng shui, and many other areas that have extensive experience in the field of feng shui consulting, teaching and training.

Diantha’s take: FSIA is where I went for my feng shui certification and the reason I chose this school over all others is that they offer a science backed curriculum and a more Western approach to the art and science of feng shui. I have never regretted my choice and am proud to be affiliated with such wonderful, talented people. If you are thinking about feng shui training, I encourage you to check out FSIA as a strong possibility. You will get so much support through both your process of certification and as a practicing feng shui consultant.

www.fengshui-ii.org
Feng Shui Institute International (FSII) is an international membership organization founded under the Pyramid School philosophy, setting standards of professional practice, promoting lifelong learning for feng shui practitioners through sharing, teaching, inspiring and guiding professional growth for its members worldwide.

Diantha’s take: This is another really cool site. There are lots of teleseminar offerings, tips, products, and classes to tweak your interest. FSII is the membership arm of FSIA where I got the majority of my feng shui training and for whom I teach color. They take a more Western approach to feng shui and the result is that the claims and cures are backed by the sciences. This is another site you will like to check often to keep abreast of developments and new class offerings!

www.bodymindspiritguide.com
This is the website for “The Body Mind Spirit Guide,” a printed and freely distributed publication serving Michigan’s holistic and new age community.

Diantha’s take: “The Body Mind Spirit Guide” for Michigan is a great magazine with tons of information, ideas, and sources for holistic products and practitioners. Visit their site often to find current offerings and ideas.

www.bodymindspiritdirectory.org
Find holistic health resources, alternative medicine practitioners, massage, day spa, yoga, chiropractic, metaphysical and other listings in your area in the Body Mind Spirit Directory. Free submissions. See the famous “Find Expos” guide too.

Diantha’s take:  A great all-round full-of-information site! No matter where you are, the Body Mind Spirit Directory can help you find local practitioners for your holistic health needs. They even list the expos by area so you can keep up-to-date on what’s going on in your area

www.adelbrown.com
Your website tells a story about your business, your products and services and you as a business owner. Adel can help you refine that story specifically for the web. She will help you develop your visual messages — the emotions you want sparked, the actions you want taken and the information you want remembered when someone visits your website — and then integrate them into a considered, well-thought-out website that reflects you and your business. Writing and editing services are also available.

Diantha’s take: Doing a website is such an amazing process and is in some ways a very intimate process. Adel has made my own process a breeze, thanks to her professionalism and creativity. She immediately honed in on the design and format, and we were off and running. Adel is easy to work with, responsive, timely, and makes the whole process a lot of fun too. I can't recommend her highly enough, so just look through my site to see for yourself how wonderfully creative Adel is!
